Jejupop en crafting shenanigans
To kick off the new academic year and welcome our new first-year students to the wonders of Koreastudies, the Travel Committee (ReisCo) organized the very first First-Year Day on September 3rd! Normally, the academic year starts off with the First-Year Camp, but due to some circumstances, this was slightly scaled back to a smaller but not less successful day filled with fun activities, conversations and snacks! 🏫
The day started with an icebreaker game to help new students and upper-year students feel more at ease with one another, followed by a custom made new game from S.V.K. Dokkaebi: Jejupop! — a parody of The Game of Life themed around a fictional idol industry. 🕺💃
After a long game of Jejupop, it was time to (re)discover the members' creativity with three fun craft activities: making toilet-roll figures, creating flowers out of pipe cleaners, and folding origami hanboks. 🎨✂️
We ended the day by ordering fries for everyone present to eat while crafting. All in all, it was a great way to welcome the first-years, and we hope the new Dokkaebians feel at home in both the study program and the association. 🍟🍴
