About us
Dokkaebi (도깨비) are mythical creatures from Korean folklore, known for their dual nature. They can both lend a helping hand and playfully pose challenges. This symbolizes exactly what S.V.K. Dokkaebi stands for: we support our members in their academic development, while also offering space for relaxation and cultural enrichment.
Our association was founded on March 1, 2022, a conscious choice due to the historical significance of this date. On this day, South Korea commemorates the March 1st Movement, an important event in Korean history that symbolizes resilience and unity. From the beginning, we have seen strengthening the bond with Korea as one of our core values, and this continues to guide our activities.
At S.V.K. Dokkaebi we create a community where students are not only supported academically, but also given the opportunity to develop socially and culturally. Whether you are studying Korean Studies or have a broad interest in Korea, you will find an inspiring environment where knowledge, friendship and experience come together.
