Confidential Contact Person(s)

A confidential contact person serves as a point of contact for members who wish to have a chat, unburden themselves, or have dealt with unwanted and unpleasant behavior. The role entails a two-year term. The association has both internal and external confidential contact persons; internal ones are closely connected to the association and visible at activities, whereas external ones are more removed from the association and less active within it. As of the 2026–2027 academic year, we also have a confidential contact person based in Korea.

Dear Dokkaebi Members,

My name is Hanne. I just graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Korean Studies from Leiden University this past June. During my bachelor’s studies, I was an active member of Dokkaebi, and I would like to continue contributing to the association. Since August 2026, I have been living in South Korea, where I am pursuing a master’s degree in Korean Studies. As I wish to continue in my current role as Confidential Contact Person (CCP), I will take on the position of Korea-CCP for S.V.K. Dokkaebi starting in September 2026.

As the Korea-CCP, I will serve as a point of contact for members currently in Korea and help foster a safe and pleasant environment within the association. You will also see me at KoCo activities, so please feel free to come up and have a chat.

Hi there!

My name is Ariëlle, and I’ll be serving as the external confidential contact person for the time being, so I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself 😊. I have a background in both Korean Studies and Linguistics, and I really enjoy the combination of the two (for instance, using Korean as a case study for linguistic research). Since the start of this year, I’ve been working on a PhD regarding the role of intonation in conversational turn-taking, so you’ll often find me in or around the Reuvens building. My free time tends to fill itself up quite nicely; I love things like creative or artistic projects, nerdy linguistic topics, socializing, and good conversations. Please feel free to reach out via email or message if you’d like to meet up for a chat.
